Natura &Co’s Commitment In Addressing the Global COVID-19 Pandemic
At Natura &Co we are committed to helping everyone face this unprecedented pandemic: Coronavirus, COVID19. Our first responsibility is to our associates, their families and communities. Over the past few weeks we have taken significant steps putting in place guidelines to avoid/restrict travel, large meetings and gatherings, new greeting and minimum distance protocols, increasing cleaning and sanitation of our facilities while encouraging remote and at home work. Our associates can self-quarantine when needed or at risk, with no impact to their compensation and we will continue to follow guidelines from both global, local public officials and health authorities.
We also understand and embrace the role that Natura &Co can play through the efforts of our employees, store personnel, representatives and consultants around the world. It is vital that we find ways to contain, mitigate and restrict the spreading of the virus while assisting essential functions, health services and supply chains to continue to function. Since the outbreak in Asia we assisted local communities and hospitals donating personal care products. Across all of our businesses Natura &Co manufacture one product that is instrumental in stopping the spread of a virus: SOAP. To help, we have decided to take immediate steps to significantly increase our capacity across all of our businesses while at the same increasing and facilitating access to those in need. We will increase education and training of all of our 6.5M consultants /representatives’ network and all of our staff in over 3,200 stores globally, either on site or remote, to become advocates and educated on ways to support both local and global Health Care Authorities about proper actions, care and protocols to help fight the spreading of COVID19, including proper sanitization with soap + water regularly.
This is a time for us to collaborate and converge as a society; public & private sectors, companies & scientific community, NGO’s & governments to face these unprecedent challenges. For Natura &Co, a group that celebrates relationships, the notion of social distancing as a way to help contain, mitigate and restrict the spreading of the virus sounds daunting but absolutely necessary. We encourage people to show compassion and support each other. Together and with actions like these we renew our commitment to do what is best FOR the world.
